Build your own Frankensteinâs Monster, hunt for glowing candy, brave Scarecrow-infested dungeons and craft a graveyardâs worth of limited-time gear.

CRYPT DLC!
Just in time for Halloween, the Crypt Building Skin has risen. Strong carved stone adorned with gothic features and bones, it turns any base into a fortress fit for the restless dead. Raiders will think twice before knocking.

Return of the Halloween event!
ITâS ALIVE!
The Scarecrows and Mummies have risen once again, bringing their cursed remains with them.
Take them down to collect three tiers of Head, Torso and Leg body parts, then mix and match your finds to build and resurrect your very own Frankenstein Monster.
Hunt down the best parts and create the perfect abomination to fight by your side.
FRANKENSTEIN TABLE
Once youâve gathered enough body parts, craft a Frankensteinâs Table at a Tier 1 Workbench. The default blueprint will be available for the duration of the Halloween Event.
Place the table and add your collected parts to its inventory to bring your monster to life. Parts donât need to match, so you can mix and match Light, Medium and Heavy Heads, Torsos and Legs to create your own custom abomination.
Want to make a few changes? Send your monster back to the table by selecting âSleepâ from the command wheel, accessed through the Gesture Wheel, then swap out its body parts whenever you like.
FRANKENSTEIN MONSTER
Once your monster is awakened, use the Command Wheel to give it orders.
Your Frankenstein Monster can follow you across the map, defend you when youâre attacked, and attack enemies you target.
Build it, bring it to life, and put your creation to work.
FRANKENSTEIN AND MUMMY MASKS
The Frankenstein and Mummy Masks are also returning for this yearâs Halloween Event.
Both masks are free to use while the event is active and can be found by taking down Mummies and Scarecrows. Youâll also have a chance to find them inside loot bags earned during the Candy Hunt event.
Suit up and complete the look before the Halloween Event disappears.
GHOST SHEET COSTUME
The Ghost Sheet Costume is also returning for this yearâs Halloween Event.
Youâll be able to find it as a rare drop from Scarecrow NPCs, so keep hunting if you want to get your hands on this spooky wearable.
CANDY HUNT EVENT
The Halloween Candy Hunt has clawed its way back from the grave, bringing plenty of treats with it.
Once the event begins, scour the island for Candies and grab as many as you can before time runs out. The Candy Hunt will take place twice per RUST day, throughout the event.
On Official Servers, the Halloween Event runs from October 15 to November 5, 2026. Community Server owners will also be able to activate the event around the same period.. Make sure to check out the Community Servers wiki for more information on Seasonal Events!.
When the event is triggered, a 15-second countdown will appear. As soon as the timer hits zero, the hunt begins! An overlay will reveal the top 10 Candy Hunters and the time left before the event vanishes. Each haunting round lasts a brief 3 minutes - so grab as many glowing Candies as you can before the darkness claims them.
The Candies will spawn within your field of vision and shimmer with an eerie glow, making them easy to spot. When the event ends, the top 5 hunters will be rewarded with loot based on their performance. The prizes are wickedly delightful:

HALLOWEEN PORTALS
Dare to enter the dark portals scattered across the island, transporting you to eerie dungeons where youâll battle terrifying Scarecrow NPCs. Defeat them...if you dare!
MAP ROAMING SCARECROWS
Haunted Scarecrows are once again roaming the island, attacking any survivor unfortunate enough to cross their path.
Take them down to claim their cursed loot, but donât underestimate them - these sinister figures wonât go quietly.
VAMPIRE STAKE
Wield the Stake and make short work of the islandâs Scarecrows.
A well-placed strike can take one down instantly and reward you with extra loot. Stakes can be found as a rare drop inside Small Candy Bags crafted during the event, so keep opening them if you want one at your disposal.
CRAFTABLE HALLOWEEN ITEMS
These limited-time Halloween items are only available while the event is active and will appear as default crafting recipes, meaning no research is required.
You can craft them yourself or find them inside Loot Bags earned throughout the event.
Make the most of them while you can - once Halloween comes to an end, these spooky items will disappear with it.

Sickle, Butcher Knife and Pitchfork.

Spider Webs, Coffin, Graveyard Fence, Gravestone and Wooden Cross.
The Rust Console Edition Halloween Event begins October 15, 2026 and runs until November 5, 2026.
