In Rust Console Edition, a wipe refers to the resetting of server data. There are two types of server wipes: Weekly and Monthly. Weekly servers are wiped every Thursday at 6PM UTC. Monthly Servers are wiped on the last Thursday of each month at 6PM UTC.
These wipes could either be Map Wipes or Blueprint Wipes. Map wipes reset all buildings, loot, and player activity (but keep blueprints). Blueprint wipes reset the map and wipe all learned Blueprints making it a full wipe.
What’s the difference between Official and Community Servers?
Official servers are run by Double Eleven. They use standard game settings, have a set wipe schedule, and offer a fair, unmodified experience.
Community servers are run by players via hosting services. They can have custom rules, different wipe times, and unique gameplay like PvE, roleplay, or no-KOS zones.
